What is Missing Object Detection?
It is a feature within IC Realtime's Smart VCA (Video Content Analytics) that allows a camera or recorder to identify when items go missing from a designated zone within the video scene.
How do I access the missing object detection settings?
Log in to your camera's IP address using a web browser.
Click on "Detection" in the left-hand navigation menu, then select "Smart VCA".
Click on the "Rule" category, then click the "Add" button on the right side of the window.
Select "Missing Object Detection" from the rule drop-down menu.
How do I draw the detection zone on the screen?
Move your cursor to the video preview window and left-click to set your anchor points. Once you have created the desired number of anchor points, double left-click to finalize and close the detection zone.
What parameters can I customize for the detection zone?
You can set the maximum and minimum target sizes, as well as the timer for the watch zone. Be sure to click "Save" in the lower right of the browser window to apply your rules.
How can I test the rule with live notifications?
Click the "Live" category on the left-hand navigation menu to review the rule creation and see live alert notifications.
How do I view recorded missing object events?
Open the IC Secure Client software and load the live video feed for the camera you configured. Click the "Replay" option in the toolbar located in the upper right corner of the video feed.
How do I filter my search specifically for missing object events?
Click the "Highlight Events" button above the playback timeline on the right side.
Click on the "VCA" category to highlight smart events.
To narrow it down further, click the "Expand" button on the VCA category and uncheck everything except "Missing Object Detections".
How do I play back a triggered event?
Left-click directly on the pin located on the playback timeline (or just before it) to begin video playback of the event.
How do I exit the replay screen?
You can return to the live video feed by clicking the "Live Now" icon in the upper right, or you can simply close the IC Secure Client software.
