What is required to set up loitering detection?
You need an IC Realtime NDAA camera that supports Smart VCA (Video Content Analytics).
How do I access the configuration menu for loitering detection?
Log in to your camera's IP address using a web browser.
Click on the "Detection" category in the left-hand navigation menu.
Select "Smart VCA".
How do I create a new loitering detection zone?
In the Smart VCA menu, click on "Rule" then "Add".
Choose "Loitering Detection" from the drop-down menu.
Move your cursor to the video preview window and left-click to set anchor points for the detection box.
Double left-click to finalize the detection zone.
Set the loiter time duration to trigger the alert, and click "Save" in the lower right corner.
How can I review loitering detection results?
Open the IC Secure Client software and load the live video feed for the configured camera.
Select the "Replay" option in the toolbar located in the upper right corner of the video feed.
By default, this will load the last 30 seconds of recorded video.
How do I search for previous loitering events in the software?
Click the "Highlight Events" button located above the playback timeline on the right-hand side.
Click on the "VCA" category to highlight smart events.
To narrow it down further, click the "Expand" button on the VCA category and uncheck everything except "Loitering Detection".
Left-click on the pin located on the timeline (or just before it) to play the video event.
How do I return to the live video feed from the replay function?
Click the Live Now icon located in the upper right corner, or close the IC Secure Client.
