How do I begin the setup process for intrusion detection?You start by logging into your camera's IP address using a web browser. Navigate to the Detection category on the left-hand menu and select Smart VCA. Once it loads, click the Rule category, and then click the Add button on the right side of the window.
How do I draw the intrusion detection zone?
In the new rule window, select Intrusion Detection from the drop-down menu. Then, move your cursor to the video preview window and left-click to set your anchor points. Once you have created the desired number of anchor points, double left-click to finalize the zone.
What additional settings need to be configured for the rule?
You need to set the type of target and the directionality that you want to trigger the intrusion rule. Once configured, click the Save button in the lower right corner to apply the rule.
How can I review live alert notifications after creating the rule?
You can click the Live category on the left-hand navigation menu. Alternatively, you can click the IC Realtime logo in the upper left to return to the camera's homepage to log out.
How do I review recorded intrusion events?
Open the IC Secure Client software, load the live video feed for the designated camera, and select the Replay option in the toolbar located in the upper right corner of the feed. By default, the replay function will load the last 30 seconds of recorded video for the chosen camera.
How do I filter the replay timeline specifically for intrusion detection events?
Click the Highlight Events button above the playback timeline on the right side, then click the VCA category to highlight smart events. To filter further, click the Expand button on the VCA category and uncheck everything except for Intrusion Detection.
How do I quickly play a detected event from the timeline?
You can simply left-click directly on the event pin located on the timeline, or just before it, and the video will begin playing.
How do I return to the live feed after reviewing video in the IC Secure Client?
Click the Live Now icon in the upper right corner, or you can close the IC Secure Client software entirely.
