ICTV App Overview - FAQs
What is the IC Realtime TV (ICTV) application, and where can I download it?
ICTV is IC Realtime’s software designed for monitoring, managing, and navigating your camera feeds. You can download it directly from the App Store on Apple TV.
How do I reduce false or excessive notifications?
Navigate to Settings > Alerts, ensure alerts are enabled, and keep advanced event triggers toggled on while toggling off standard pixel motion detection.
How do I handle video doorbell calls in the app?
If you use a compatible doorbell (such as the DB20), go to Settings > Alerts and turn on "Show Doorbell Call Overlay". This ensures active doorbell rings generate an immediate call pop-up on the screen.
Can I upload a custom floor plan for the Map feature?
Yes. Under Settings > Site Map, you can define physical zones and choose between the built-in sample floor plan, a custom layout imported via URL, or a plain layout with no background.
How can I back up or restore my system configuration?
Navigate to Settings > System. From there, you can export your entire configuration file to iCloud or import a saved configuration from an Apple ID.
Can I prevent unauthorized users from changing app settings?
Yes. In Settings > System, you can assign a secure System PIN to restrict access to administrative options and resetting tools.
What happens during high-priority events in Live View?
By default, the software uses automated switching. When a high-priority event occurs—such as a PTZ camera actively tracking a target—the feed automatically pulls forward as the main focus.
How do I view recorded footage from triggered alerts?
Go to the Events tab to access the chronological log. If the camera has local edge storage (like an SD card), tapping an event instantly plays the recorded footage. If no local storage is present, tapping it opens the camera’s real-time live view.
