Using the IC Home App

The IC Home app provides flexible options for managing your devices, viewing live video, and storing recordings. Below are answers to frequently asked questions to help you get the most out of your app.

1. Does the Playback menu only show notifications from the last 7 days?

No. The Playback menu is not limited to the last 7 days—it allows you to access more than just recent notifications, however it can only display 7 days at a time.  If you need to go further back pick a period less than 7 days. 

2. What location setting is required for Geofencing to work properly?

For Geofencing to function, Location must be set to:

3. What recording options are available in the IC Home app?

You can record footage in two ways:

  • Cloud recording
  • SD card storage

4. How do I switch to a landscape view for live video?

Tap the Expand icon to switch to landscape mode.

5. What steps must I take before deleting my IC Home account?

Before deleting your account, you must:

  • Cancel all subscriptions
  • Delete all devices from your IC Home account

6. Do I need to use the Notifications menu to view footage older than 7 days?

No. Footage older than 7 days is not limited to the Notifications menu.

7. What happens if Privacy Mode is enabled?

When Privacy Mode is on:

  • Live video will not be visible
  • The camera lens will turn off
  • Recording will not be possible

8. Do I need to reset a deleted device before it can be registered by a new owner?

Yes. A factory reset is required before a deleted device can be registered and used by a new owner.
