Where can I download firmware before performing an upgrade?
Firmware updates must be downloaded from:
store.icrealtime.com
Note: You will need to be signed into the Dealer Portal to access firmware updates by navigating to the specific product page. You can also contact tech support to receive firmware updates via email.
What type of USB drive format is required for recorder updates using a local display?
When updating via a local display (HDMI or VGA connection), the firmware update file must be copied to a FAT32-formatted USB flash drive.
How do I verify the Firmware Build Date on my recorder?
Log in to the Main Menu and navigate to:
Info → System Info
Can I update my recorder over the network?
Yes. When updating through the Web GUI instead of a local display, you gain the added benefit of performing the update directly over the network.
How can I verify the Firmware Build Date of an IP camera?
You can check the Firmware Build Date by:

* Navigating to Information → Version
What happens if I don’t turn off recording when updating an IP camera’s firmware via the NVR?
If recording is not disabled for the specific channel, you will receive a notification prompting you to do so before the upgrade can continue. To turn off recording:
Navigate to Advanced Settings → Storage Settings.
Can a failed update damage the device?
Yes. If a device loses power or experiences an unstable internet connection during a firmware update, it may be rendered inoperable. Be sure you have a secure connection before starting a firmware update.
