Understanding EPTZ Functionality - FAQs

Can I adjust regions or areas of interest with EPTZ?
Yes. EPTZ allows you to select and adjust specific areas within the panoramic image for closer viewing.

What does the “Continue until object disappears” tracking duration mean?
This setting means that a moving object will be tracked from the moment it enters the scene until the moment it exits the scene.

Does EPTZ only record in live view?
Yes. EPTZ recordings are limited to live view, which means you can access the full panoramic video in playback but not the tracking feature which is intended for live monitoring only.

Which NVR-EL recorders support EPTZ?
The EPTZ function is only available on select cameras and 32MP versions of the NVR-EL recorders.

Are EPTZ cameras less reliable because they have more moving parts?
No. Unlike traditional PTZ cameras, EPTZ has no moving parts. This makes it just as reliable—if not more—than other camera types.

What rules can be set with PTZ linkage in EPTZ?
With PTZ linkage, you can set rules such as:
  - Line crossing
  - Tripwire
  - Intrusion zone

What are the main benefits of EPTZ?
EPTZ offers several advantages, including:
  - No wear and tear from moving parts
  - Silent operation
  - Less maintenance compared to traditional cameras

Where can I view the full EPTZ display?
You can view the EPTZ display through:
  - The web interface of the camera
  - The HDMI output of the NVR

(Note: The full display is not available through the NVR web interface.)
