Connecting and Deploying NDAA Cameras - FAQs

How do I locate a new NDAA-compliant camera on my network?
Open the Vigilance Camera Manager software to find the camera on your network.
Once located, double-click on its IP address to open the camera's login page in your web browser.

What is the default administrator username and password requirement for the camera?
The default username for the administrator account is root. When creating a password for this account, it must be at least eight characters long, contain at least one letter, one number, and contain no spaces.

Why is video not rendering in my browser window, and how can I fix it?
Due to licensing restrictions, H.265 video cannot be rendered directly inside a web browser window. To view the video in your browser, you can either switch from the recording stream to the live or app stream, or modify the recording stream settings to use H.264 compression instead of H.265.

How do I find and add a camera within the IC Secure client software?
Mouse over the gear wheel icon and click on Settings, then left-click on the camera entry under the device category. Click the camera icon with the plus (+) sign to let IC Secure automatically scan the network for IC Realtime NDAA cameras and other ONVIF-compatible IP cameras. Check the selection box next to your camera and click Add.

What information is required to complete the camera enrollment on the server?
The server will prompt you to input the username and password for the selected camera. Click the Apply button to complete the process. A green check mark next to the camera in your device list means the camera has been successfully enrolled.

How do I view the video stream of an enrolled camera in IC Secure?
Navigate to the Live View tab. From there, either double left-click the newly enrolled camera or click and drag it into an available video quadrant.
