What is a Deal Record
- The Deal Record View is a centralized hub within HubSpot where you can access, manage, and track all the critical details of your sales opportunities or deals.
- It offers a comprehensive and organized view of each deal, allowing you to stay informed and make informed decisions throughout the sales process.

Left Column of a Deal Record
- At the top left corner of every deal record, you'll find key information, including the company name, deal amount, current stage, and the associated pipeline.
- Specifically, the "Opportunity/Project Discussion Stage" represents a deal that has been initiated but has not yet progressed to receiving a quote.
- Convenient shortcuts are readily available to facilitate seamless communication with the customer regarding the deal.
- These shortcuts enable you to take notes on conversations, log calls, set tasks, compose and send emails, or schedule meetings with the customer—all within easy reach for efficient deal management.

About This Deal Section
- Additionally, you'll notice a section labeled "About this deal," which provides essential details such as the deal creation date, expected close date, and the designated deal owner.

Deal Activity
- Beneath the "About this deal" section, you'll discover recent deal activity, which highlights information such as the date of the last activity, the most recent customer contact related to the deal, and the last modification date of the deal record.

Deal Overview Tab
- In the center column of the deal, you'll find properties that build upon the information in the left column, offering a more detailed view of the deal.
- This section includes "Deal Highlights," "Deal Details," and a list of companies associated with the deal.

Deal Requirements
- The "Deal Requirements" tab is a valuable space to input critical information such as Solution Requests, which may include design assistance or training requests.
- It also accommodates overall project requirements, such as preferences for camera housing, AI requirements, or the need for third-party integrations.
- Collecting and documenting this information can be instrumental in guiding the internal team, ensuring a clear understanding of project details, and expediting the deal closure process.

Activities Tab
- On the right side, adjacent to "Deal Project Requirements," you'll come across the "Activities" tab.
- This tab provides a comprehensive view of all activities related to this particular deal. It encompasses a record of emails sent, logged calls, associated tasks, scheduled meetings, and various other relevant interactions and events.

Line Items
- On the right side of a deal record, you'll notice a section dedicated to "Quotes," where you can seamlessly convert a deal into a quote (details on this will be covered in the following video).
- Beneath the "Quotes" section, you'll find a list of "Line Items" that were added to the deal (during the deal creation)
- This space allows for ongoing updates as you collaborate with the dealer during the project.
- Continue adjusting the line items before finalizing and creating the quote, ensuring the proposal aligns precisely with the evolving project requirements.

Contacts
- Below the line items, you'll come across the "Contacts" section.
- These contacts are associated with the deal and were selected during the deal creation process.
- This section provides easy access to the individuals connected to the deal, helping you maintain a clear and organized record of all relevant contacts involved in the sales opportunity.
