On the Top Right of a Company Record > Click "+ Add"

Deal Name

  • Please Remove the Text, "New Deal"
  • Enter a Unique Deal Name

You MUST replace "New Deal" with a name that is tailored to each specific Deal

For Example: 

"Acme Testing Company - PO#12345"

Pipeline will be pre-populated to "Sales Pipeline"

Deal Owner will be pre-populated to your name

  • If you are a Sales Admin
    • Please Update the Deal Owner to your Sales Rep 
    • In the "Secondary Deal Owner" Field please select yourself (admin)
      • BD Special Case: Two Wesco Branches are split - be sure Ian and Kristy are the Primary and Secondary Owners on Deals through that Wesco Branch

Deal Description

Enter a short overview of the project you're creating a deal for.

Tip! Include the industry of the project, location, size etc.

Deal Close Date

Select a "Close date" for the project:

Have open and honest communication with the dealer. Ask them about their timeline and when they expect to make a decision. Their input can be a valuable indicator.

Deal Amount

Enter an estimated amount for the project

Note: If you're already aware of the line items needed you can skip the "amount" field. This field will populate based on the sum of the line items.

Design & Training Support Request

These two sections provide you with the capability to notify both the design and training teams when a dealer expresses interest in their services.

Once you choose "Yes" from these dropdown menus, an email from the relevant departments will be automatically dispatched to the dealer, inviting them to schedule a meeting.

Adding Line Items to Deals 

Click the "Add Line Item" Dropdown and search or type in the SKUs

Tip! Use the product library view to easily view inventory levels, active promotions and status of the products (Active/inactive)

Associating Companies to Deals

The Company will be pre-populated with the company name from the record you created the deal in.

Associating Contacts to Deals

Click the "Contacts" dropdown and begin typing the email address for the main contact(s) associated with the deal and select the name when found.

Publishing The Deal

Double check the information you added to your fields and click create to submit create your deal record.

Once you submit your deal form, you will be redirected to the "deal record"

The deal record is very similar to the company record, but focuses exclusively on the deal and the project details.

Use this view to stay up to date with your deal, add new details and update the line items as you learn more about the project. Add new notes, follow up with the dealer via email and more!
