Using the QR Code Scanner in the HubSpot Mobile App

QR Code Scanner
Requirements:
- A mobile device (iOS or Android) with the HubSpot mobile app installed and logged in.

Internet Connection or Cellular

Necessary app permissions enabled (Camera Access)
Access the QR Scanner:
- Open the HubSpot App
- Log in, if not already
- Access the Scanner
- Option 1 (Recommended): On the Home Page > Select "+ Create" in the bottom right corner > Select Scan QR Code

- Option 2: Tap the Contact Tab > Select "+ Contact" in the bottom right corner > Select Scan QR Code
- For both options, if prompted to allow the app access to your camera, must select yes
Scan the QR Code:
- Align the QR Code within the On-Screen Frame
- Hold the phone steady
- The app will automatically interpret the data and populate the contact fields
Review and Edit Information:
- Review the auto-filled fields
- Edit any missing details - Please ensure spelling / capitalization is accurate
- Properties Included:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Job Title
- Phone Number
- Website
- If available:
- Street Address
- Postal Code
- Properties Included:
Save the Contact:
- Tap Save
- This contact is immediately available in the system
Activity (Optional):
- Add a note or follow-up task
- Tag an internal team member
Troubleshooting:
- Scanner Not Working?
- Double Check Camera Permissions
- Restart the App if it doesn't scan or freezes
- Incorrect Data?
- Manually verify and update scanned fields before saving
Best Practices:
- Always verify contact data
- Use the scanner during or immediately after a conversation to ensure accurate context
